Umpiring has begun and other thoughts

So spring has finally arrived, and with it the beginning of my 11th year as an Umpire. So far the games have been well played, no major issues with any players,coaches etc, and I have enjoyed being back out on the fields doing what I love.  I have about another 12 games spanning the next 4 weeks for my New Hampshire High School season, plus 2 more for Vermont, as well 6 more for local recreation leagues, before  gearing up for a summer  of hopeful Cal Ripken League games, Babe Ruth League games and some tournaments.   Also am planning on going down to Boston with one of my good friends to catch the sox play and that should be a lot of fun. Usually I try and get to at least ONE game a season and also try to catch some minor league games at either Manchester, or Burlington.    BUT one thing that has kept my mind occupied is the fact that in less then 3 months now I will be leaving Vermont, New England and beginning my new adventure as a Floridian.  I a...
